Wed, 29th May 2024

Okta has announced the appointment of Craig McGregor as the new Director of Partners and Alliances for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). This strategic decision is aimed at strengthening Okta's commitment to building a Partner-First Model in the region.

With over two decades of experience in leading channel businesses and teams, McGregor is well-equipped to support and expand Okta's partner ecosystem. His role will encompass working with channel partners, systems integrators, cloud service providers, distributors, technology partners, and hyperscalers across ANZ.

Craig McGregor will collaborate closely with Ajay Advani, who was appointed Vice President of APJ Channel & Strategic Alliances at Okta last year. Together, they will further develop and implement Okta's partner strategy for the ANZ market.

Philip Goldie, Vice President and Managing Director of Okta Australia and New Zealand, expressed confidence in McGregor's capacity to further the company's goals. Goldie acknowledged that McGregor's extensive experience and deep understanding of the partner ecosystem in ANZ would be critical in delivering on Okta's Partner-First Model. "As Okta transitions to a Partner-First Model, it is imperative we have the knowledge and experience to properly support a strong partner network," he said.

Responding to his appointment, McGregor stated, "Okta is a market leader and uniquely positioned in the Identity market. I am excited to be supporting Okta's partner ecosystem to ensure they can provide organisations with secure identity-led infrastructure." His enthusiasm highlights the company's forward-looking strategy as it seeks to leverage local expertise to meet global standards.

Okta positions itself as the world's leading independent Identity provider, enabling secure access, authentication, and automation for businesses globally. The company's Workforce Identity and Customer Identity Clouds offer customisable solutions, which facilitate digital transformation and innovation. With over 7,000 pre-built integrations, Okta aims to equip businesses with flexible and secure identity-led infrastructure.

As Okta heads into a new phase of growth, McGregor's appointment signifies a robust commitment to expanding its partner network in the ANZ region, ensuring that partners are well-supported to meet the growing demand for secure identity solutions. The collaboration between McGregor and Advani is expected to bring about enhanced strategic alliances and an even stronger partner ecosystem, thus driving Okta's mission forward in the region.
