FYI, this story is more than a year old

Former vice president & managing director, Pacific region for Symantec, Craig Scroggie, has been appointed to the role of CEO for Australian data center company NextDC.

Scroggie has been a non-executive director of NextDC since November 2010, and will take over from Bevan Slattery, who will continue with the company as executive director and deputy chairman.

Slattery says attracting Scroggie was a significant coup for the company.

"Having worked with Craig on the board for the past 18 months, I have always been extremely impressed by his level of professionalism, energy and leadership,” Clarke says.

"Craig is an impressive and inspiring professional.”

Scroggie started with Symantec back in July 2005, as senior director, business development Asia Pacific & Japan. He was promoted to his more recent role in late 2007.
