CTERA's services debut in Microsoft Azure Marketplace
CTERA has made its Edge-to-Cloud File Services available in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, facilitating the modernisation of NAS infrastructure with cloud-native solutions.
The introduction of CTERA's services in the Azure Marketplace provides Microsoft Azure customers with the opportunity to exploit Azure's scalability, reliability, and agility for their application development and business strategy formulation. This new development presents two options for customers: a fully managed Hosted Data Service for those seeking rapid deployment and a self-hosted Private Data Service offering enhanced control and flexibility.
CTERA's Edge-to-Cloud File Services, powered by Microsoft Azure, aim to modernise traditional NAS infrastructure by offering cloud-native file services extending from edge to cloud. Key features include enhanced availability, cyber resiliency, scalability, and cost reduction. By ensuring continuous data protection for Azure Blob Storage and providing global file access, CTERA allows IT teams to scale infrastructure elastically, eliminate disaster-related interruptions, and enhance the productivity of hybrid workforces spread across different locations.
The platform is also certified for military use, addressing significant privacy and cybersecurity concerns with its zero-trust architecture and active defence measures apt for safeguarding sensitive data. Integration with Microsoft Sentinel provides real-time threat detection and helps maintain comprehensive visibility of all file activity on-premises and in cloud environments.
Saimon Michelson, Vice President of Alliances at CTERA, said, "Organisations need a modern file data services platform that seamlessly integrates with their cloud strategy while not compromising security and performance. By making CTERA available on the Azure Marketplace, we're simplifying deployment and procurement, allowing customers to leverage Azure's scalability with the flexibility to choose between a fully managed or self-hosted solution."
Microsoft strongly endorses this new addition to its Azure Marketplace. Jake Zborowski, General Manager of Microsoft Azure Platform at Microsoft Corp, said, "Microsoft welcomes CTERA to Azure Marketplace, where global customers can find, try, and buy from among thousands of partner solutions. Azure Marketplace and trusted partners like CTERA help customers do more with less by increasing efficiency, buying confidently, and spending smarter."
The Azure Marketplace is an online market facilitating the buying and selling of cloud solutions certified to run on Azure, connecting companies to partners offering ready-to-use solutions. CTERA's presence ensures that organisations searching for cloud-native file services now have direct access to these solutions, which aim to enhance operational efficacy and security through the Microsoft Azure platform.
