Dbvisit & CYBERTEC team up to boost PostgreSQL services

Fri, 15th Nov 2024

Dbvisit and CYBERTEC have announced a partnership to promote the global adoption of PostgreSQL by integrating their respective strengths in database technology and services.

The collaboration seeks to address the growing demand for enhanced PostgreSQL Managed Services, particularly among Managed Service Providers (MSPs), while simplifying the deployment and administration of resilient database environments crucial for business operations.

As PostgreSQL gains traction globally, MSPs are increasingly required to broaden their PostgreSQL offerings quickly. CYBERTEC and Dbvisit have joined forces to extend their services and software solutions across their combined reseller and MSP networks to meet this need.

Dbvisit's StandbyMP Disaster Recovery software is integral to this initiative, facilitating the rapid deployment and management of highly available PostgreSQL environments worldwide. The software is user-friendly and comes with 24/7 database administrator support.

CYBERTEC will endorse Dbvisit's software as part of its offerings, providing customers with intuitive High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions. This initiative aims to offer organisations security and confidence when migrating to PostgreSQL, ensuring seamless disaster recovery and high availability.

The partnership is set to benefit existing Oracle and SQL Server users by offering a unified dashboard through Dbvisit StandbyMP, simplifying disaster recovery across different platforms. This feature enhances technical efficiency and streamlines the management of database recovery plans.

Hans-Jürgen Schönig, CEO and Founder of CYBERTEC, remarked, "We're excited to be working closely with Dbvisit to enrich the PostgreSQL ecosystem with more tools and expertise. By working together, we can enable Managed Service Providers to scale their PostgreSQL offerings more quickly, ensuring they benefit from PostgreSQL's full potential while maintaining database integrity and uptime."

Mark Otten, CEO of Dbvisit, added, "This alliance is about building stronger, more resilient PostgreSQL environments. With the combined power of CYBERTEC's products and Dbvisit's disaster recovery expertise, we are ensuring that PostgreSQL users have access to the best solutions for managing their databases effectively and securely."

Both companies are committed to bolstering the PostgreSQL community by providing practical and scalable tools and services that enhance database reliability and performance. Their strategic partnership highlights the collaborative spirit of the PostgreSQL community, aiming to deliver innovative solutions that help businesses achieve their data management goals.

According to Mark Otten, "Business continuity requires database continuity. Databases are the heart of an organisation, and losing access to mission-critical data, even temporarily, can impact customer experience, business operations and revenue."

CYBERTEC, established in 2000, provides a wide array of PostgreSQL services, including high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimisation. Meanwhile, Dbvisit is known for its disaster recovery software, StandbyMP, which caters to PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server users, offering ease of use and reliability.
