Dell unveils AI-powered PCs with advanced processors & displays

Dell has unveiled its latest lineup of artificial intelligence (AI) powered personal computers, including the new XPS 13, Inspiron 14, and Latitude 5455. These models are designed to cater to consumers, content creators, and business professionals, providing improved performance and efficiency through the use of advanced processors.

The new XPS 13 is equipped with next-generation Intel Core Ultra processors Series 2. According to Dell, this thinnest XPS model offers enhanced power and efficiency for demanding tasks. A notable feature of the XPS 13 is its dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU), capable of up to 48 TOPS (trillions of operations per second). This enables advanced AI functionalities such as text and image creation, and accelerated photo and video editing. Additionally, the XPS 13 is distinguished as the first laptop globally to offer a tandem OLED display, which provides higher brightness and longer battery life compared to conventional OLED displays. Dell claims the XPS 13 can achieve up to 26 hours of battery life while streaming on an FHD+ display.

The Inspiron 14 features the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core processor, with an advanced integrated GPU and NPU delivering 45 TOPS. Dell has tailored this model for both entertainment and work purposes, boasting a 14-inch FHD+ display and voice command functionalities throughout the platform.

The Latitude 5455 continues Dell’s promise of reliability and productivity with its slim design, making it easy to carry around. This model can be configured with either the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core or 10-core processors and claims to deliver up to 27 hours of battery life. The integrated GPU and NPU offer up to 45 TOPS of performance, which is aimed at supporting AI and machine learning tasks. The laptop also includes dual speakers with AI noise reduction and a 16:10 FHD+ display to facilitate seamless work and collaboration.

Each of these models showcases Dell’s commitment to integrating AI experiences into their products to enhance productivity, regardless of whether users are in an office or working remotely. The company states that their new AI PCs are intended to bring ultimate performance and efficiency to the hands of users across various sectors.
