Enartis to acquire Parsec, boosting solutions for global wineries

Fri, 24th Oct 2025

Enartis has signed a preliminary agreement to acquire Parsec, aiming to create a major provider of integrated technological solutions for the winemaking sector.

Enartis, a company established within the Esseco Group and active in Australia and New Zealand since 2008, plans to buy 100% of Parsec, which is based in Sesto Fiorentino, Italy, and is recognised for its advanced control systems used in the wine industry. The effectiveness of this agreement is subject to procedural requirements under Italian law.

The combination of Enartis and Parsec will result in a single organisation that provides wineries worldwide with advanced management services across the production process, from grape reception to bottling. The new group will deliver these processes on a unified platform, merging oenological products with automated management systems.

This development comes on the heels of Enartis's 2023 acquisition of the Portuguese company Winegrid, which, according to the company, will lead to the establishment of a new, unique international hub of expertise. The enlarged group intends to offer wineries support for optimising production efficiency, sustainability, and quality across their operations.

Leadership continuity

When the acquisition is completed, Parsec's current Chief Executive Officer, Giuseppe Floridia, will remain in his role. He will continue working alongside the present partners and the Parsec team, whose industry experience has contributed to the company's growth.

"This is the beginning of a chapter we intend to write together," declares Samuele Benelli, Chief Executive Officer of Enartis. "Today, we are laying the groundwork to unite not just two companies, but two families that share the same culture of customer service and the same passion for excellence and innovation. The extraordinary expertise of the Parsec team, combined with our global presence, will create incredible potential. We want every person, in both Enartis and Parsec, to feel like a key part of this future adventure."

Piermario Ticozzelli, Business Director at Enartis, commented on the complementary nature of the two businesses.

"The union between Enartis and Parsec will consolidate our commitment to offering integrated and innovative solutions for increasingly efficient and high-quality winemaking. The complementarity between the two companies' skills will be a powerful engine for growth, capable of generating new business opportunities. Together, we will become the strategic partner for future-focused wineries around the world."

Parsec, which was founded in 1995, has developed several patented technologies for the control of micro-oxygenation, fermentation supervision, selective extraction, and automated winery management. The company's systems are installed in more than 30 countries.

Floridia, Chief Executive Officer of Parsec, described the agreement as the next step in Parsec's development.

"The union with Enartis represents the natural evolution of Parsec's growth journey," declares Giuseppe Floridia, Chief Executive Officer of Parsec. "We chose Enartis because we see in them our own vision and a deep commitment to innovation. The combination of Parsec and Enartis allows for the integration of scientific knowledge with control and process management technology, offering the market tools for an ever more measurable and sustainable quality of wine."

Expanded offering

Through this acquisition, Enartis seeks to expand its offering not only of oenological aids and technologies but also of process optimisation tools for spirits, ciders, and low- to no-alcohol beverages. With the inclusion of Parsec, the group aims to further develop and deploy its research-driven approach and international customer support.

The process is set to continue pending legal requirements in Italy, with both companies indicating their intention to maintain operational continuity and strategic focus once the acquisition is formalised.
