Enterprise-level security offered to SMBs

FYI, this story is more than a year old

RSA, the security division of EMC, has released a new authentication solution it says has been designed to meet the cost requirements of SMBs.

The RSA Authentication Manager Express is being pitched as a risk-based and on-demand authentication system that allow organisations to provide up to 2500 end users with secure access to data and business applications through VPNs and online portals.

Dave Shephard, RSA’s ANZ Territory Manager, said, “RSA’s Authentication Manager Express makes risk-based security accessible to small and mid-sized organisations, making it ideal for New Zealand businesses. Going beyond password-controlled access, AMX keeps up with an ever-changing threat environment by enabling access based on risk profile.”

The product will be available in March through authorised RSA resellers and distributors.

“With minimal disruption to current workflow, AMX can be integrated with existing systems to extend an organisation’s security policy to third party suppliers – regardless of device or method of accessing the network,” Shepard added.
