EPAM Systems expands partnership with Google Cloud for AI

EPAM Systems has announced an expansion of its strategic partnership with Google Cloud to offer new AI-powered solutions for media, energy, and retail sectors.

The enhanced collaboration between the two companies aims to utilise Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform to address industry-specific challenges through generative AI, legacy modernisation, and data analytics. This strategic move is expected to create solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes for clients.

EPAM's existing global partnership with Google Cloud is set to benefit from this expansion, focusing on marketing support and go-to-market strategies that enable digital transformation initiatives for clients using Google Cloud services.

EPAM plans to accelerate its regional growth by tapping into its retail, energy, and media industry expertise, alongside its regional resources through the acquisition of Neoris. Furthermore, the company is set to expand its financial services offerings in Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region through its acquisition of First Derivative, thereby enhancing its capabilities in banking and capital markets.

The expanded partnership introduces four solutions that leverage Google Cloud and the Vertex AI platform, including three industry-specific solutions and one that is cross-industry. The solutions include Video Search and Indexing for Media and Entertainment, JenAiiTM for Retail, Geospatial Data Visualization for Energy, and a horizontal solution known as Talk to Your Data.

The Video Search and Indexing solution is designed to transform unstructured video data into actionable insights, thereby improving accessibility and audience engagement. JenAiiTM for Retail aims to address staffing shortages and margin pressures by offering customer satisfaction and sales enhancements through wayfinding assistance and education. The Geospatial Data Visualization for Energy will support improved decision-making by allowing intuitive analysis of complex datasets. Talk to Your Data is a horizontal solution that simplifies data analysis, converting complex datasets into clear visualisations and reports.
