FYI, this story is more than a year old

Alfred Ling (pictured) has already taken up the role of Ericsson New Zealand Country Manager.

He replaces previous New Zealand boss Jeff Travers, who has returned to work for Ericsson in Europe.

Ling returns to Ericsson NZ from Ericsson Greater China, where he was head of Customer Unit China Central and West.

He joined Ericsson NZ in 1991 and has since accumulated nearly 20 years of experience with the company in various positions in New Zealand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, China and South East Asia.

Ling said, “I am delighted to return to New Zealand where I began my Ericsson career. The China market, where tens of millions of subscribers are using Ericsson GPON equipment, reflects the growing global demand for high-speed broadband – a demand clearly evident in New Zealand.”
