The Exol New Zealand business, formally Simms International New Zealand, will be fully integrated into the Express Data business before the end of March, the company has announced today.

As a result of the merger, the sales office for Exol will be transferred from the current Albany location to the Express Data head offices in Mount Wellington.

“We have been working through the integration of the business over the last few months and this is the next logical step for us to take," says Paul Johnston, county manager, Exol New Zealand.

"So far we have seamlessly transferred our Logistics, Finance, Credit and other back office functions into Express Data and all that remains is to transfer the physical location of the sales office.

"We have already seen many benefits from the integration and expect further improvements once the relocation is completed.” After ensuring the integration of the Simms business with the Express Data Group was complete, Johnston will also leave the company, effective March 29.

“After establishing the New Zealand arm of Simms International 3 years ago and having the privilege of working with such a talented and dedicated team, it was a difficult decision to resign," he says.

"However, I felt the time was right to look for new challenges.

“Express Data is an outstanding company and the people here have been a delight to work with.

"They have done a superb job with the integration and will continue to grow the business in the future.”
