Gallagher Security appoints new digital & brand leaders

Gallagher Security has announced the appointments of Tom Harding as Head of Digital and Hugo Parcell as Head of Brand and Creative, with a vision to drive marketing innovation and facilitate growth.

Tom Harding, who previously served as co-founder and CEO of Mish Guru, will be responsible for creating new digital experiences for Gallagher’s customers, partners, and prospects. During his tenure at Mish Guru, a New York-based company, he led market activities and expanded the sales and marketing teams, working with clients such as McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Lululemon, and Spotify.

Commenting on his new role, Tom stated, "Gallagher has really ambitious goals for growth, and I think it's clear to everyone that the foundations to enable this are already in place. It’s just a matter of putting those puzzle pieces together and communicating that vision with our customers so we can deliver more value and drive expansion in the process. It’s a huge opportunity, and it’s what I’m most excited about in starting this new role."

Hugo Parcell, who has been named Head of Brand and Creative, shares Tom’s enthusiasm. Hugo has managed marketing campaigns for Mazda, Berocca, and InterContinental Hotels Group while at JWT advertising agency in London. His career continued in New Zealand, working with clients such as Spark, Optus, Red Bull, and Partners Life. Most recently, he served as Marketing Director at Power Farming.

"The Gallagher story is such an inspiring one," Hugo said. "To be a family-owned business with local roots in New Zealand and be a global player with big ambitions at the same time is a unique position to be in, and it’s a big part of what attracted me to the role.”

Hugo highlighted the broad applicability of Gallagher’s security solutions, stating, "We might be in the security business, but our solutions empower a variety of verticals and I’m excited to bring that kind of customer perspective to our team."

Chief Marketing Officer, Merv Williams, expressed strong support for the new appointments, describing them as strategic moves that will enhance Gallagher’s marketing capabilities. "Our solutions are world class, our research and development teams are world class, and we’re prepared to show the world that our marketing is in the same league," Merv said. "Tom and Hugo are going to help us shape Gallagher's global narrative and I’m super excited to count their successes along the way."

Both Tom and Hugo will be based at Gallagher Security’s global headquarters in Hamilton, New Zealand. When not focused on building brands and digital experiences, they enjoy spending time outdoors with their families, taking advantage of New Zealand’s beaches and rolling landscapes.
