Gallagher spotlights visitor management at Sydney expo

Gallagher Security reported strong engagement for its new Visitor Management Solution at the Security Exhibition and Conference in Sydney, where it also showcased updates across its broader security range.

The visitor management product, built on Kenai and integrated with Gallagher's Command Centre platform, drew particular attention from attendees, according to Craig Schutte, Executive Vice President for APAC and IMEA. The event also gave Gallagher direct access to partners and customers across the Australian security market.

Schutte said footfall at the company's stand remained steady throughout the three-day exhibition, with visitors reviewing both new and updated products. Systems on display included Command Centre v9.50, AccessNow, OneLink, and the F5 and F6 Fence Controllers.

Gallagher presented the visitor management system as a key addition to its current line-up. Through an interactive kiosk, attendees were able to test the software directly at the stand.

Security suppliers have been expanding software tied to access control and site operations as organisations look to combine physical security with day-to-day administrative processes. Visitor processing has become a particular focus as businesses seek tighter control over site access while reducing manual work for reception and facilities teams.

In that context, attendees were especially interested in tools that connect visitor workflows with existing security systems rather than operate as separate applications. Gallagher positioned its integration with Command Centre as a core part of that pitch in Sydney.

Partner focus

Alongside product demonstrations, Gallagher held its annual Partner Connect networking event for channel partners, consultants, and technology partners. Such gatherings are a routine feature of the security sector, where integrators, software providers, and hardware makers often rely on joint projects and distribution relationships to reach customers.

Schutte said the response to the new visitor management product stood out during the week, linking that interest to demand from organisations trying to reduce administrative friction without weakening site controls.

"The response to our Visitor Management Solution powered by Kenai was incredibly positive," said Schutte.

"Many organisations are looking for ways to streamline administrative processes while maintaining high security standards, and attendees were excited to see how a native integration with Command Centre can help achieve that."

Vendors in the market are increasingly competing on how well they connect access control, perimeter monitoring, and site administration within a single environment.
