Gen-i claims Cisco's Cloud Trailblazer award
Gen-i has claimed a win in the Cloud Trailblazer award category, for its business excellence in cloud business models.
Honoured at last month’s Cisco Collaboration Summit, the award recognises Gen-i’s achievements in becoming Cisco’s first partner in the Asia-Pacific, Japan and Greater China (APJC) region to bring Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution to market.
The Telecom division also launched its ReadyCloud Collaboration service earlier this year, and successfully completed its first major client deployment soon after.
“This is a tremendous recognition of the excellence Gen-i has shown in cloud business models," says Dave Wilson, Client Executive, Cisco New Zealand, in congratulating Gen-i for the award.
"In building and delivering collaboration services from the cloud, Gen-i has answered the market’s demand for new and flexible ways of consuming communication tools that enables its customers to focus on their business, not the tools inside their business."
Gen-i Chief Operating Officer Jo Allison says the award provides welcome recognition for the team behind the launch and delivery of ReadyCloud Collaboration.
“It makes me extremely proud to see the Gen-i team recognised by Cisco with this award, and to have Gen-i held up as a cloud trailblazer in the APJC region," Allison says.
"Over the last 12 months we’ve been very focussed on investing in the things that will make a real difference for our clients.
"This has included bringing a number of innovative new services developed by global technology providers into the New Zealand market, including ReadyCloud Collaboration.
"We’re excited about the potential this solution provides for our clients to leverage collaboration tools for greater flexibility, productivity and operational efficiency.”
ReadyCloud Collaboration brings together Cisco’s international strength and Gen‑i's proven local knowledge, coverage and infrastructure to deliver a flexible, highly secure and cost effective hosted collaboration service to New Zealand businesses.
It simplifies and reduces the cost of collaboration and remote working and supports BYOD.
Services such as voice, instant messaging, presence and video calling can be accessed via desktop or mobile device, and businesses can assign the right mix of services to each employee, depending on their needs.
ReadyCloud Collaboration also provides the flexibility to scale services up and down to meet changing business requirements.
