Getac Technology has announced the availability of four new 5G rugged devices available in Australia and New Zealand.

The devices released by Getac include the V110 fully rugged laptop, S410 semi-rugged laptop, F110 fully rugged tablet, and UX10 fully rugged tablet.

The new offering increases choices for organisations looking for rugged resilience, powerful processing, and rapid 5G connectivity speeds.

Frank Baldrighi, Business Development Manager, Australia and New Zealand, Getac, says: "With the imminent shutdown of all 3G networks across Australia to make way for expanding 5G networks, many businesses are investigating 5G-enabled devices to ensure business as usual continues. In addition, the global momentum of 5G is redefining the standards of mobile connectivity."

"In response, industries are integrating 5G devices to power their frontline operations, whether it's a field surveyor at a remote mine site or an emergency first responder. The ability to rapidly communicate and share information via 5G networks is changing how effectively people operate on the ground."

Engineered for the demands of Industry 4.0, the V110 fully rugged laptop integrates the power of a 12th Generation Intel Core i7/i5 vPro processor and the visuals of Intel Iris Xe Graphics. It is housed in a robust frame, attaining MIL-STD-810H, MIL-STD-461G, and IP65 certifications, ensuring performance even in harsh conditions, from -29°C to 63°C.

It promises uninterrupted low-latency streaming in urban jungles and remote terrains with a blend of Thunderbolt 4 and advanced connectivity options, such as Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and optional 5G LTE.

The S410 promises performance that lasts all day with hot-swappable batteries. Getac's hallmark design houses 13th Generation Intel Core i5/i7 Processors and integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics. This combination ensures seamless connectivity, rapid workflows, and peak graphics output.

The device also incorporates PCIe NVMe SSD as a standard, coupled with user-removable storage for heightened task efficiency. A laser barcode reader, a DVD/Blu-ray super multi drive, a second storage drive, and the option of a third battery demonstrate the comprehensive configuration options available.

Moreover, the next generation UX10 fully rugged tablet is designed for medical professionals and features fully sealed buttons that provide quick and easy disinfection by medical professionals. Its fully rugged IP66-certified design also offers protection against dust, water, and disinfectant spray for excellent reliability in challenging medical environments.

Lastly, with the F110, workers can operate under various challenging conditions. The resilience of the F110 lets users work in unyielding terrains and situations. Powered by a quad-core 11th Generation Intel Core i5/i7 processor, multitasking is fluid, and Getac says performance is unparalleled.

The Intel Iris Xe Graphics are designed for ease of use, even when visibility is limited. Enhanced connectivity options deliver rapid data transmission from any location, with the added Thunderbolt 4 port offering a massive 40 Gb/s connection, expanding end-to-end solution capabilities.

Frank Baldrighi says: "Customers across Australia and New Zealand now have four premium sub-6GHz 5G Windows rugged solutions to choose from, which means they can equip their workforces with the right tool for the job, no matter how remote or challenging the work environment. Our customers require rapid communication solutions that are robust and reliable."

"The expansion of the 5G network lets us bring these key solutions to market."
