The Getting IT Right website launched its second phase this week, which included a "holistic framework" for businesses to use to improve IT projects.

The website first launched in March with the aim of generatiing more awareness of the poor state of IT in New Zealand, and to offer best practice advice.

The company said thewould "bring together the keys to success in a way that will help an organisation achieve its companywide strategic goals."  It said the website now features ideas on organisational structure, responsibilities of the IT and management team, philosophies, certification and other measures that an organisation can follow to drive IT success.

"Once the framework has been critiqued and finalised, the next step is to work with the relevant parties to push it out to businesses, via the IT community, business communities, professional bodies and a group of well-known IT leaders," said website founder Scott Groombridge.
