Globant debuts AI Agents to transform software development lifecycle

Fri, 5th Jul 2024

Globant has announced the integration of its proprietary AI Agents into the software development life cycle (SDLC). With over a decade of AI investment, Globant's new AI Agents aim to enhance efficiency and results across various stages of the SDLC.

The new AI Agents include Human-augmented AI Agents, Backend Prototyping AI Agents, and Code Fixer AI Agents, among others. These agents, supervised by humans, are designed to enhance Globant's solutions and support various industries in accelerating their AI adoption. The integration aims to improve development cycles by autonomously performing tasks.

The AI Agents will be used throughout the entire SDLC. The initial set of agents includes the Product Definition AI Agent, which takes multiple inputs to break down user stories that the development team needs to create a product. The Backend Prototyping AI Agent enables users to create the backend of a business application rapidly, regardless of technical knowledge. The Application Design AI Agent accelerates the design process and simplifies teamwork from a simple text input. The Test AI Agent helps companies deliver high-quality software by developing comprehensive test plans and executing those tests. The Code Fixer AI Agent fixes issues based on its contextual understanding of the existing codebase and the reported bug.

"Until today, the power of AI productivity lay largely in the hands of individuals. Globant is bringing a breakthrough shift in the symbiotic relation between AI and humans by introducing a set of sophisticated AI Agents. Augmented and supervised by humans, these AI Agents will streamline operations, bring efficiencies, and grant scalability at a corporate level. The potential productivity gain of AI Agents rivals the breakthrough of Henry Ford's assembly line, which made manufacturing more efficient and scalable," said Martín Migoya, Co-Founder and CEO of Globant.

Globant has incorporated artificial intelligence throughout its organisation since 2013 to create best-in-class solutions that deliver real value to clients. Over the years, it has launched the Data and AI Studio and remains at the forefront of innovation by continually developing new AI Agents. Almost 100% of Globant’s pods are AI-certified, ensuring that all teams can apply the power of AI to every one of their projects.

Diego Tartara, Chief Technology Officer at Globant, stated, "We are transforming our approach to product development by utilising advanced AI to bring out the best of both worlds: technology and humanity. Enhancing human and AI collaboration is poised to revolutionise business operations, leading to unprecedented productivity and growth across many industries. Globant's AI Agents combined with our suite of AI platforms provide a clear advantage to help organisations benefit from these gains."

Globant will continue to leverage disruptive technology to aid in digital transformation, according to a statement. The company's ongoing commitment to integrating artificial intelligence aims to enhance productivity and efficiency in software development across various industries.
