Hamilton software company Wild Bamboo has secured its second customer in the UK, after edging out four local competitors in a rigorous selection process.

The company specialises in health software for non-government mental health, disability and community service organisations, particularly through its flagship Recordbase product.

CEO Alan Grainer, who was formerly chief information officer at the Waikato District Health Board, says he’s delighted to have secured another UK-based customer.

"It’s extremely satisfying to have Recordbase recognised as an information management system that’s as applicable in the UK as it is in New Zealand,” Grainer says.

"It validates the team’s foresight, hard work and commitment to developing a product in partnership with non-government organisations.”

While in the UK meeting with the new customer, Grainer also investigated other market opportunities, which he says he will be following up in the next few months.

With a team of 23, Wild Bamboo also operates in Australia, particularly Victoria and Queensland.
