HP and Oracle settle Hurd lawsuit
Tue, 21st Sep 2010
FYI, this story is more than a year old

After a very public spat, HP and Oracle have reaffirmed a long-term commitment to each other, just as long as ex-HP Chief Executive Mark Hurd doesn’t talk about HP secrets.

Terms of the settlement were confidential, but Hurd will have to adhere to his obligations to protect HP’s confidential information while fulfilling his new responsibilities at Oracle.

“HP and Oracle have been important partners for more than 20 years and are committed to working together to provide exceptional products and service to our customers,” said Cathie Lesjak, Chief Financial Officer and Interim CEO, HP. “We look forward to collaborating with Oracle in the future.”

Oracle CEO Larry Ellison added, “Oracle and HP will continue to build and expand a partnership that has already lasted for over 25 years."
