Fri, 11th Feb 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old
HP has sent out word that it will formally announce the establishment of a multimillion-dollar next-generation data center in Waikato next Thursday, February 24th.
A media briefing will be held to discuss local infrastructure investment, the design behind it and how the facility will serve HP’s customers in New Zealand.
The media briefing will be led by Keith Watson, Managing Director for HP in New Zealand and Gavin Greaves, Country Manager, Enterprise Services, HP New Zealand.
IBM also has plans to open a new data center this month.
Update: In light of the events currently happening in Christchurch, the company has now delayed that announcement.
