More than 1,500 jobs have been axed at the technology company, according to a report by the Associated Press.

The report says that IBM shed more than 1,500 jobs across a number of divisions on Monday, which the AP points out is just “a sliver of the technology company's nearly 400,000 workers worldwide”.

IBM hasn’t commented on the cuts but documents submitted by the laid-off workers to a labor union, which is said to represent a small percentage of IBM employees, suggest that somewhere in the region of 1,518 jobs were cut. There is no further information on where the positions were located.
