IBRS highlights Interactive’s sovereign-first cloud focus

IBRS has featured Interactive in its Vendor Radar series, citing the IT services provider's Australian-led delivery model, sovereign private cloud offering, and work linking legacy infrastructure with newer cloud platforms for regulated organisations.

IBRS publishes Vendor Radar profiles as high-level, non-paid snapshots of local Australian technology vendors and service providers. The advisory firm said it provides independent guidance on ICT, risk and digital strategy.

Interactive said the profile highlighted its "sovereign first strategy" and a product called Unite28. The company positions these as central to its approach for organisations with compliance requirements and constraints on where data and workloads sit.

Vendor Profile

IBRS described Interactive as operating an Australian-led delivery model and offering sovereign private cloud services. It also pointed to Interactive's work connecting critical legacy systems with modern cloud platforms in regulated environments.

Demand for these approaches has increased as organisations reassess cloud deployment choices and face additional regulatory obligations. The advisory market has also placed greater emphasis on data residency, operational control, and supplier risk, particularly in government and industries that manage sensitive information.

Interactive's Chief Technology Officer, Dan Cox, addressed the IBRS profile and the company's positioning in the Australian market.

"It is an honour to be included in IBRS's Vendor Radar series, which provides independent, practical insight into the local technology landscape. It's pleasing to see our sovereign first strategy and Unite28 called out, both of which continue to guide our direction," said Dan Cox, Chief Technology Officer, Interactive.

Cox also referred to shifting patterns in cloud adoption and compliance requirements for Australian organisations.

"As organisations navigate cloud repatriation and increasing regulatory pressure, we see first-hand how a sovereign-first approach helps restore confidence. By bridging the gap between the services you need, where they reside, and the people delivering them, executives well beyond IT can progress with clarity," said Cox.

Company Background

Interactive describes itself as an Australian IT service provider with managed and professional services spanning cloud, cyber security, data centres, business continuity, network services, systems maintenance, serviced office, and digital workplace services.

The company also said it works with more than 2,000 customers across multiple industries, including manufacturing, finance, healthcare, and entertainment. It said customers use it for management of data, support for devices, and system security.

IBRS said it formed in 2002 and advises clients on risk mitigation and strategic decisions. The firm framed Vendor Radar as a way to raise visibility of local technology providers through short profiles rather than paid placements.

Interactive said the IBRS profile reflects an ongoing focus on sovereign private cloud and hybrid IT approaches in regulated environments, and it expects these themes to remain prominent as organisations review cloud location decisions and compliance obligations.
