Infor teams up with NVIDIA on AI healthcare integration

Today

Infor has announced that its Cloverleaf Data Integration Platform is now compatible with NVIDIA's Holoscan AI platform to enhance AI-powered clinical decision support through real-time healthcare data integration.

This integration emerges amidst reports indicating that 94% of healthcare leaders face difficulties in integrating patient data, which can impede the provision of timely and high-quality care. The collaboration aims to address these challenges by allowing medical device customers to utilise real-time data and AI to improve patient care, heighten diagnostic accuracy, and lessen administrative workloads.

The combined capabilities of Infor Cloverleaf, which integrates healthcare data across systems such as electronic health records (EHRs) and medical devices, and NVIDIA Holoscan's real-time AI processing aim to significantly transform clinical workflows. Using this combination, medical device customers will be able to access and use real-time patient data, imaging, and vitals to facilitate decision-making before, during, and after procedures.

Infor Cloverleaf is recognised as one of the leading data integration solutions in healthcare and life sciences according to the Black Book analyst report. Its high rankings highlight its value in providing secure and compliant data interoperability, a critical element for managing the sizeable data volumes necessary for AI applications.

Meanwhile, NVIDIA Holoscan is influencing the healthcare industry by enabling real-time AI processing for applications across diagnostic imaging to robotic surgery. With the integration of Cloverleaf, developers can create robust sensor-processing AI applications that integrate seamlessly with EHR systems, leveraging patient-specific data to enhance patient outcomes, surgical procedures, and reduce the administrative load.

Jeff Mueller, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Infor, explained the collaboration's benefits, "We are excited to collaborate with NVIDIA on its Holoscan platform. Together, our customers will benefit from cutting-edge AI and deep learning technologies to improve patient care, accelerate research, and enhance operational efficiency. Cloverleaf's ability to scale effortlessly across multiple healthcare systems enables a seamless flow of diverse data, creating a unified platform that ensures all clinical, operational, and administrative information is accessible in real-time. This interoperability complements NVIDIA Holoscan by feeding it a continuous, structured stream of data for real-time AI-driven analysis, improving both diagnostic accuracy and patient care efficiency."

David Niewolny, Senior Director of Business Development for Healthcare/Medical at NVIDIA, highlighted the significance of connectivity in healthcare, saying, "Seamless connectivity across diverse medical devices and healthcare data systems is crucial to the development and deployment of AI-powered healthcare applications. The Infor Cloverleaf integration with NVIDIA Holoscan provides the healthcare and MedTech industries with the ability to leverage a comprehensive and standardised data set to develop real-time AI applications."

This new capability is expected to provide medical professionals with advanced tools that facilitate a more efficient and precise healthcare delivery, marking a significant step in the ongoing evolution of AI applications in the healthcare sector.
