Ingram Micro equips St John with state-of-the-art technology

In this fast-paced global age, excellent communication is crucial to productivity and success, which is why Ingram Micro’s Unified Communications (IMUC) Team is getting behind St John New Zealand and equipping the charity with state-of-the-art Jabra, Poly, Logitech and Yealink kits.

The technology gifted to St John includes Jabra headsets, Yealink and Poly conference phones, and Logitech keyboard and mouse sets, worth over $8,000. 

St John New Zealand is a charitable organisation providing healthcare services to improve the well-being of New Zealanders. The organisation provides emergency ambulance services to 97 per cent of the population, as well as offering products and services including first aid training, event health services, medical alarms, and a wide range of charitable community health programmes such as St John Health Shuttles, Caring Caller, Therapy Pets, and St John Youth. 

Ingram Micro NZ’s Jabra brand manager Shabana Khan played a key role in mobilising the IMUC Team behind St John. “One of our team strategies this year is to support worthy charities and causes, especially those dear to my, and other members of the team’s hearts. Communication has come a long way in recent times, so we’ve grouped products from some of the leading vendors in the unified communications space and put together a package which fits out the St John head office in Auckland.”

Characteristic of Ingram Micro’s approach of delivering solutions rather than merely supplying products, Khan engaged with St John’s ICT team to establish requirements before creating the package. “As they have been in the process of moving to Microsoft Teams as their platform of choice, they needed equipment for different areas such as office workspaces, contact centre and meeting rooms. And that’s what we’ve gladly supplied.”
