InternetNZ backs Barcamp 'Unconference'
InternetNZ will be the major sponsor for the fifth annual Barcamp Auckland Unconference, to be held Saturday, 16 July. The free unconference – a ‘facilitated, participant driven conveference’ where everyone attending presents and contributes to the agenda – will cover technical topics for web designers/developers and creative technologists, including HTML5, Native OS, Design/UI and productivity. A panel of politicians and technologists, including National MP Sam Lotu-Liga, Green MP Gareth Hughes and Labour MP Clare Curran plus IP lawyer Tim Mullins, blogger David Farrar, TUANZ chief executive Paul Brislen and Internet NZ chief executive Vikram Kumar, will discuss the role Internet will play in New Zealand in the coming years. Internet entrepreneur Lance Wiggs will moderate.
