Internode expands into New Zealand

FYI, this story is more than a year old

The firm has extended its Business Connect service throughout New Zealand to offer "affordable access" to private IP network operators.

The 'Internode Business Connect' solution is described as a service that can offer access to business premises anywhere in Australia as if they were on the same internal network.

Internode Product Manager Phil Dempster said, “This gives them one network that spans two countries. The availability of Internode Business Connect throughout New Zealand allows customers to integrate these sites into their IBC wide area networks in Australia.”

The company believes that the NZ launch will give extra competitive pressure to what it describes as a tightly-held trans-Tasman market for private corporate networks, currently dominated by Telstra and AAPT.
