Jabra has appointed Max Davies as Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, effective 26 October 2026.

Davies joins the audio and video technology company from Vega Global, where he served as Country Manager, Australia. In that role, he led the Australian business and the ANZ regional unit, overseeing national operations, commercial performance and team development.

He will lead Jabra's business across Australia and New Zealand, working with customers and partners throughout the region.

Davies brings nearly 20 years of experience in video conferencing, workplace technology, unified communications and audio-visual solutions. Before Vega Global, he spent more than eight years in leadership roles at Crestron.

He holds an engineering degree from the University of Derby and began his career in the UK before moving to Australia.

Regional role

The appointment comes as workplace technology suppliers compete for spending linked to hybrid work, office upgrades and collaboration tools. Businesses across Australia and New Zealand have continued to invest in systems that connect office-based and remote staff, driving demand for audio, video and meeting room equipment.

Davies will lead Jabra's ANZ business as the company seeks to expand its position in the region. Jabra is part of GN Group, which employs more than 7,500 people and sells products in 100 countries.

Thomas Petersen, Regional President, APAC, Jabra, said the appointment would support the company's regional growth. "Max brings deep market expertise, strong customer and partner relationships, and a proven track record of building high-performing teams and delivering business growth. His leadership and industry experience will support the continued success of our ANZ business and strengthen Jabra's growth across the region," Petersen said.

Market background

At Vega Global, Davies was responsible for the Australian operation and the wider regional unit. During his tenure, he helped scale the business nationally, strengthen delivery standards and expand its engineering, project management and service teams.

That background gives him experience across several parts of the workplace technology market, including collaboration systems and AV deployment. The sector covers equipment used in meeting rooms, call environments and office communications, where vendors have been adapting product lines to changing work patterns.

Jabra is known for professional audio products and video offerings for business users. It also operates in consumer markets, reflecting a broader trend among device makers seeking growth across workplace and personal technology segments.

Davies said he was joining Jabra at an important time for the business. "I'm delighted to be joining Jabra at an exciting time for the business, as it builds on its strong heritage in professional audio while expanding its opportunities across video, consumer and enterprise markets. Having worked closely with organisations on complex workplace and collaboration environments, I've seen first-hand how important reliable, intuitive audio and video technology is to the way people work and connect. I look forward to working with Jabra's customers, partners and team across Australia and New Zealand to strengthen our local presence and deliver integrated solutions that meet the changing needs of the market," he said.
