Kevin Ackhurst leaves Microsoft New Zealand
Kevin Ackhurst, Managing Director of Microsoft New Zealand, will be moving to Singapore to take up the position of VP Sales and Marketing for Microsoft.
Microsoft has told IT Brief that a replacement has not yet been named.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would like to thank the team at Microsoft New Zealand for all their hard work,” Ackhurst said. “I’m also grateful to all our New Zealand customers and business partners for their personal and professional support over the past three years.”
“I’m looking forward to my new regional role and hope to maintain contact with my many New Zealand friends and business contacts,” said Ackhurst.
Ackhurst headed up the New Zealand business and helped establish and later chair the NZ ICT Group, an industry association made up of over 90 leading New Zealand ICT companies.
He will take up the new role on August 2nd. A replacement is currently being sought.
