FYI, this story is more than a year old

Kiwi communications company Vadacom has expanded its VadaXchange offering with the launch of VadaXchange Buddy, a system designed to combine contact-centre features with a user-friendly interface.

Igor Portugal, Vadacom CEO, says the product is already receiving interest from both partners and customers.

"We've spent considerable time and resources developing this new software,” Portugal says.

"With Buddy you don’t need to learn how to use the phone. The call control interface is right there on the screen, guiding you through every step.

"I am very excited to see the first few of our customers actually using it.”

As well as being user-friendly, Buddy also offers full contact centre features, including queuing of communications and recording for review and training purposes.

Buddy even includes an iPhone app which allows the user to change their presence status, transfer calls and arrange conferences away from their desk. The app also directs mobile calls through the company landlines or VoIP lines, further reducing costs.

"We are proud to be creating this world-class communications technology here in New Zealand,” Portugal says.

"Creating this product is a journey everyone in our team really enjoys.”
