Wed, 19th Sep 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

LG-Ericsson, which was launched as a joint venture between Ericsson and LG Electronics two years ago, is now re-branding the corporate name to Ericsson-LG.

Effective immediately, Ericsson-LG hopes to take advantage of the full range of Ericsson’s branding assets as the company will leverage the uniformed look and feel of a brand identity, such as Ericsson capital font/typefaces, icons, colors, images and global campaign materials.

“We are proud to contribute to the fast growing development of Korea’s world leading 4G/LTE infrastructure, which is a direct result of an effective and strong partnership between two leading ICT companies, Ericsson and LG Electronics," says Mats H Olsson, chairman of Ericsson-LG.

"This combination has proven to deliver unique strengths to both our customers in Korea and to the Korean telecoms industry.

"As a long-standing partner, LG will remain a key element and continue to play an important role for the success of Ericsson-LG.”

Ericsson-LG says it will maintain the existing business portfolio while moving toward solutions and services focused approach with the key assets like technology and service leadership.
