LinkedIn debuts new search filters

Mon, 4th Oct 2010
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Currently in a closed beta phase, LinkedIn Signal is described by the company as its “professional lens on the real time stream”.

Users will be able to search and refine results by network, industry, company, and other filters unique to LinkedIn.

You’ll also be able to see the most popular links that professionals are sharing based on your search criteria.

And you can see who’s sharing the most popular links along with top companies, industries, and locations.

“Signal is the first of many LinkedIn products aimed at making it really easy for all professionals to glean only the most relevant insights from the never-ending stream of status updates and news,” said the company’s latest blog. “In other words, Signal allows all professionals to make sense of the noise that surrounds them today.”

All places on the beta appear to have been taken but if you request an invitation, LinkedIn will let you know when more become available.
