Logicalis achieves carbon neutrality & boosts female leadership ranks

Fri, 21st Nov 2025

Logicalis has reported a series of sustainability achievements, including reaching carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 emissions and increasing female representation in senior leadership. These measures form part of a wider responsible business strategy, with environmental, social, and community projects undertaken across its global operations.

Carbon neutrality

The company's carbon-neutral status for Scope 1 and 2 emissions in this financial year followed a 10% reduction in these emissions over the last 12 months, compared to its FY22 baseline. This reduction was delivered through a combination of renewable energy usage, verified carbon offset purchases, and specific carbon and energy reduction efforts tailored to each country of operation.

Logicalis has also focused on helping clients to reduce their own carbon footprints. Its Digital Fabric Platform now incorporates artificial intelligence that provides real-time feedback on sustainability, among other metrics, offering recommendations to lower power usage and cut emissions. Other sustainability services to clients have included circular IT offerings and energy-efficient network transformations.

Client recognition

The company's work in supporting clients' sustainability efforts was recognised for a second consecutive year with an industry accolade. Logicalis was named Cisco's Global Sustainability Partner of the Year, acknowledging its efforts to help customers minimise the carbon impact of their technology infrastructure.

Community programmes

Logicalis continued its commitment to community-focused projects, with a particular emphasis on STEM education. The company reported a total of USD $232,000 in donations and community investments supporting over 500 beneficiaries worldwide through 21 education-centred projects. These initiatives provided scholarships and mentorships in South Africa, Australia, and Spain, targeting women and financially disadvantaged students interested in STEM qualifications.

The Logicalis Bursaries programme in South Africa awarded 22 scholarships for STEM students. In Australia, the Grad Girls scheme mentored 40 female graduates. The Apadrina TIC initiative in Spain delivered seven scholarships and mentorship opportunities for disadvantaged students.

Diversity focus

Diversity and inclusion practices saw further growth over the year. The company reported an increase in female representation within senior leadership, rising from 29% to 34%. The succession pipeline for women also rose, from 17% to 29%. Employee development included 210 participants in leadership development programmes and the launch of a new global learning management system, providing 1,651 days of training in total.

Governance framework

Efforts across environmental, social, and governance areas are overseen by Logicalis' responsible business governance framework. Global councils provide recommendations, with parent company Datatec ensuring oversight to balance both profitability and social or environmental impact. This framework is designed to address the needs of all stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, customers, the environment, and local communities.

"A commitment to Responsible Business lies at the heart of our organisation. We have achieved carbon neutrality ahead of schedule, proving that sustainability and commercial growth go hand in hand. Alongside this milestone, we are proud to have increased female representation in our leadership teams and delivered some exceptional grassroots educational projects. These achievements reflect a real-world impact for the planet, our people and the communities we serve," said Bob Bailkoski, CEO, Logicalis.
