Logicalis launches Cisco MXDR as first global partner
Logicalis has announced it is the first global Cisco partner to launch Cisco Extended Detection and Response (XDR) as a Managed Service (MXDR).
This service is part of Logicalis' recently introduced Intelligent Security portfolio, enhancing the company's proactive threat-hunting capabilities on a global scale.
It offers advanced insights into cyberattack chains and employs AI-driven automation alongside global threat intelligence data.
Logicalis is also one of a select number of Microsoft partners to achieve verified Global MXDR Partner status, expanding its threat-hunting capabilities with this collaboration.
The MXDR services are operated through Logicalis' network of Security Operations Centres (SOCs), which are equipped with the latest global threat intelligence.
These centres enable rapid detection, analysis, and response to security threats across customers' digital infrastructures, operating on a 24/7 basis.
The introduction of Cisco MXDR marks a significant security investment for Logicalis, including a 30% increase in personnel at its EMEA SOC to meet the rising demand for managed security services. The company has partnered with Cisco and educational institutions in Lisbon to establish a Cybersecurity Academy, focusing on nurturing talent internally.
Toby Alock, Chief Technology Officer at Logicalis, commented on the launch: "We're extremely proud to be the first partner offering Cisco MXDR globally as part of the expansion in our managed security services. As security threats escalate against a backdrop of the global skills shortage, we focus on removing both these headaches from our customers. Through our SOC, they can leverage industry-leading expertise and solutions tailored to their digital environment through one unified platform."
Alock further noted, "Our commitment to developing our partnerships and ongoing investment ensures our customers have access to unparalleled security solutions wherever and whenever needed, building their defences against bad actors."
Andrew Sage, Vice President of Global Partners and Distribution Sales at Cisco, expressed enthusiasm for the new service: "We are very excited about the value Cisco and Logicalis are able to bring to our shared customers with their new MXDR offer. With Cisco XDR built into Logicalis' global service, we are able to provide our mutual customers with an improved ability to quickly and effectively identify and respond to security threats."
João Martins, Chief Executive Officer of Logicalis Portugal, underscored the significance of establishing the EMEA SOC in Portugal: "The implementation of the EMEA SOC in Portugal is a recognition of the excellence of our local operations and the quality of our resources."
"This strategic investment positions us at the forefront of addressing growing cybersecurity needs. With our Global CIO Report 2024 revealing that 83% of CIOs faced cyberattacks in the past year, Logicalis' Security services are crucial in helping our clients tackle cyber threats with confidence."
