Maclean ramps up Wellington focus
The company today announced its intention to be more aggressive in the Wellington market as Founder and Chairman Allan Maclean will focus his attention in that region. He stepped down from the CEO role in April to become Chairman as Chris Maclean took over the CEO role of Maclean Computing. The two discussed projects Allan would take on as Chairman and one of the areas identified as a key growth point was building up the Wellington business. “The Wellington office has been working well since we acquired and integrated ATL Systems toward the end of 2008, however, we still believe we are far from realising the full potential offered by Wellington’s mid-market,” Chris said. Maclean’s Auckland business has grown from two people to now employing more than 60, and Allan said that he’s looking forward to growth in the Wellington region as he spends more time down there. He will also be showcasing some of Maclean’s new hosted and cloud-based services to Wellington businesses. “I’m looking forward to getting out and showing people what we’ve been working on, and how we can really help them to transform their business with some of our new technologies and services,” Allan said.
