Mako Networks renews distribution partnership with SnapperNet

Yesterday

Mako Networks has announced the renewal of its distribution partnership with New Zealand technology distributor SnapperNet.

Under the terms of the renewed agreement, SnapperNet will offer resellers the Mako System, which includes a comprehensive package of networking services such as PCI-certified security, SD-WAN, next-generation firewalls, VPN, Wi-Fi, Ethernet switching, and cellular failover. Importantly, resellers can now access these services under a hardware-as-a-service model.

Richard Paul, Director of Sales & Marketing for SnapperNet, commented, "This innovative approach not only simplifies deployment but also gives resellers a competitive edge in delivering secure, scalable and flexible networking solutions. That's why we're thrilled to say, 'Mako is back'—and better than ever."

Mako Networks has been working with SnapperNet since 2002, fostering a longstanding relationship dedicated to providing resellers with advanced networking and communication products. Adrian Pearce, Head of A/NZ Sales for Mako Networks, highlighted the significance of the partnership, "Returning to our roots in New Zealand with SnapperNet is a milestone for Mako Networks. This renewed partnership not only builds on our longstanding relationship but also introduces a new hardware-as-a-service model, providing resellers with unmatched flexibility and value. SnapperNet's trusted presence and technical expertise make them an ideal partner to bring managed secure networking to the New Zealand market."

The Mako System offered by SnapperNet will be available on a monthly subscription basis, enhancing accessibility for resellers by including options such as zero-touch installation and centralised cloud management. This distribution model allows resellers to bundle Ethernet switches and wireless access points with the Mako System, adapting to the specific needs of various client sectors ranging from convenience stores and fuel stations to health clinics and fast-casual restaurants.

The renewed partnership aims to address the growing demand for secure, cloud-managed networking solutions in distributed enterprise environments. By enabling a flexible and cost-effective subscription model, SnapperNet and Mako Networks are positioning resellers to maintain competitive differentiation in the market.
