Management shuffle at WorldxChange
Thu, 14th Jun 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Kiwi ISP WorldxChange has undergone a leadership reshuffle, following a management buyout that has seen a number of key managers take up stakeholding positions in the company.

Former CEO of WorldxChange Cecil Alexander has sold his interest in the company and departed, with former COO Glenn Johnstone tasking up the position.

CTO Paul Clarkin has increased his shareholding, although he will keep the same position.

"[Alexander] had wanted to go home [to the US] for some time,” Johnstone says in a statement, "and he was looking for an exit strategy.

"Plus we had key staff who wanted to get more involved and more focused on the opportunities that were opening up for us.

Johnstone says the management buyout has allowed WorldxChange to ‘lock in' its management team, ‘at a time when the market is looking fantastic'.

"We are regarded as a very good engineering firm, but not the best at putting out story out there,” Johnstone says.

"That's about to change.

WorldxChange counts companies including Dimension Data and Datacom among its channel partners.
