FYI, this story is more than a year old

The annual awards event for the Manawatu Contact Centre Cluster was held on Friday November 13th.   Telecommunications Review’s regular contributor, Giles Potter from Great Outcomes, was a judge in the  awards and attended the ceremony.

“After a tough year, the Manawatu left any recessionary feelings behind, and had a really great night of  awards. TV3’s John Campbell was a fantastic MC and spoke extremely well on the role contact centres play  in his organisation, and the tough job of being an agent.

“Campbell spoke about how the agent must always be on form, how they are never seen by the customer, but  they are always the face of the organisation, and that even after an unpleasant caller they still have to lift themselves again to deliver.

“The winners spoke of the hard times of this year, and how their organisations had gone through restructures,  redirections, major projects and plenty of change, and how much the recognition meant to them. The sector was well recognised, with the Mayor of Palmerston North and a number of chief executives attending. Overall, a great event for the region and the profession!”
