Marcura enhances services with AI integration for maritime

Yesterday

Marcura has announced a significant enhancement to its service offerings, aiming to unify its suite of solutions to provide improved efficiency through AI-powered automation within the maritime industry.

Marcura's portfolio includes industry solutions such as DA-Desk, ShipServ, MarTrust, ClaimsHub, and PortLog. The company facilitates 200,000 port calls annually, manages over 6 million Statements of Facts events, and processes payments totalling USD $21.6 billion while digitally paying 36,000 crew members. The new strategy focuses on integrating these solutions more closely to leverage the extensive data collected across the maritime sector.

Henrik Hyldahn, Group CEO, expressed the company's vision to enhance customer service by tackling broader challenges through their interconnected solutions. "The maritime industry is full of point solutions that solve individual challenges, but don't work together," Hyldahn stated. "We want to help customers get the full job done, on their terms. And as we expand our capabilities to help customers tackle bigger challenges, we're building on two decades of expertise, trust, and proven solutions."

Marcura AI is central to this transformation, already making a significant impact by embedding context-based AI across various workflows. This integration aims to automate processes, reduce risks, and enhance decision-making capacities for its users. Key benefits currently available to customers include advanced charter party interpretation to reduce manual errors, predictive insights for better pre-fixture decisions, and automated generation of handover and voyage instructions. Additionally, Marcura AI offers smart document comparison and proactive risk analysis features to mitigate potential operational and contractual challenges.

In the coming months, Marcura is set to further expand its capabilities with the launch of next-generation DA-Desk AI Agents. These agents will help automate several critical processes, including providing smart disbursement account estimates, performing thorough calculation screenings, and ensuring rapid issue resolution. Moreover, these features promise to streamline customer interactions, facilitating seamless operations.

Hyldahn highlighted the strengths of Marcura's AI, stating, "The depth and quality of our data makes our AI more effective. Our customers get maritime-specific AI tools they can trust, delivering unmatched productivity gains and decision-making support beyond even the best analysts."

Marcura embraces a modular approach to its ecosystem, allowing customers to maintain their existing tools while having full access to the new suite of solutions. "Our customers can keep the tools they trust and add the solutions they need," Hyldahn explained. "We're not replacing what works, we're expanding what's possible and giving them the freedom to choose what's right for them."

The company also plans enhancements across Marcura Intelligence, Marcura AI, and Marcura Compliance, providing maritime professionals with advanced tools for automation, compliance, and intelligence. The advancements in Marcura Intelligence aim to equip users with tools for predictive analytics, benchmarking, and improved data visibility across various operational areas.

Marcura Compliance is set to integrate multiple aspects of risk management, combining sanction screening, counterparty onboarding, and cargo controls verification to offer intelligent compliance monitoring. This tool aims to reduce administrative burdens while ensuring effective risk management through Marcura's proprietary datasets and maritime expertise.
