Maxnet beefs up South Island operation

FYI, this story is more than a year old

The data center services provider has appointed Brent Nicholson (pictured) to the newly created role of South Island sales manager.

Maxnet said that the Christchurch-based position has been established to meet South Island businesses' “growing demand for hosted and managed data center services, including virtualised network environments and cloud computing.”

Nicholson believes that New Zealand's small businesses are well-poised to take advantage of hosted virtualization. “Many New Zealand businesses haven’t got the scale to warrant building and managing their own virtualised environments, but can secure a slice of Maxnets' multi-million dollar hosting environment and associated infrastructure by renting hosted virtualised services at a significantly lower cost,” he said.

Brent joins Maxnet with more than 30 years of delivering technology and financial solutions to clients in New Zealand and overseas.
