FYI, this story is more than a year old

The latest Windows Server patch has been pulled after it was found to not be patching vulnerabilities in the Windows Media Services component for Windows 200 Server.

Microsoft said that it would be working on an update for the MS10-025 patch, which was released last week as part of the 'Patch Tuesday' update.

It’s being reported that the upgrade was pulled because it wasn’t patching vulnerabilities in the Windows Media Services component. These vulnerabilities are listed as 'critical’ and a successful update could allow an attacker to remotely execute code on a targeted system.

Update: Microsoft has now released an updated version of the patch.
