Moglix unveils Cognilix AI OS, plans USD $5m research
Moglix has launched Cognilix, an AI-led operating system for B2B commerce and procurement, and set out plans for a USD $5 million investment in AI research and vertical-specific enterprise products under the platform.
The India-founded B2B commerce company said Cognilix works alongside existing ERP systems and focuses on enterprise buying, inventory management, supplier collaboration and selling.
Moglix positioned the product as a decision layer that connects data and workflows across procurement, supply chain and B2B commerce. The company said it built Cognilix using operating data drawn from its own scale, including more than USD $40 billion in transactions, 45,000 suppliers and 1.2 million SKUs. Moglix also cited operations across more than 80 countries and a network of more than 58 warehouses.
Product scope
Moglix said Cognilix includes AI-led procurement workflows. These cover digital catalogues, RFQ comparison, supplier onboarding, compliance, competitive e-auctions and inventory forecasting. Moglix said the forecasting uses historical usage and lead times.
The company also said the platform covers B2B selling through digital storefronts and marketplaces. Moglix said these features include order management, payments, logistics and real-time inventory visibility.
Moglix said Cognilix uses a unified data layer that standardises material master data. The company said the system provides insight into spend, supplier performance and operational opportunities.
Market backdrop
In its announcement, Moglix framed the launch around a shift in enterprise expectations for AI. The company said organisations increasingly want AI embedded in day-to-day processes rather than as a separate layer used for one-off decisions.
"Globally, AI is moving from insight to infrastructure. The real question for enterprises is no longer whether to use AI, but how deeply it can be embedded into the way work runs," said Rahul Garg, Founder and CEO, Moglix.
Garg linked the positioning to manufacturing and supply chain operations in India.
"From an Indian perspective, this shift matters even more. As manufacturing and supply chains scale in complexity, we need systems that are context-aware, accountable, and resilient," said Garg.
He also described how the company frames the design principles behind the product.
"Cognilix reflects what we have learned by operating at scale; that intelligence creates value only when it understands real-world constraints and consequences. Our focus is to build enterprise-grade AI from India that stands up to global demands," said Garg.
Early results
Moglix said enterprises using Cognilix have reported early outcomes. The company cited reductions in procurement cycle times and improved inventory accuracy. It also cited higher levels of data standardisation and clearer real-time visibility across suppliers and orders.
The company did not name customers, give figures for the results, or describe how it measured the changes.
Investment plans
Moglix said it plans to invest USD $5 million in AI research and product development linked to Cognilix. It said the funding will go towards domain-led AI models and industry-specific products built under the platform.
Moglix also said the investment will focus on governance and collaboration features across the platform. The company described the spending as part of a longer-term effort to build AI products for global enterprise use.
The company said Cognilix builds on the operating footprint of Moglix's existing business. Moglix said it serves more than 1,000 enterprises and 3,000 factories globally. It also described itself as a B2B commerce company focused on manufacturing and industrial sectors.
Moglix said it founded the business in 2015. The company cited a valuation of around USD $2.6 billion.
Moglix said it will develop additional vertical-specific enterprise products under the Cognilix platform as it expands its AI research and product roadmap.
