New Relic partners with AWS to integrate AI for businesses
New Relic has announced its collaboration with AWS to integrate its New Relic AI platform with Amazon Q Business, aiming to deliver enhanced observability capabilities for enterprise operations.
This collaboration connects New Relic's Intelligent Observability Platform with Amazon Q Business, AWS' enterprise generative AI assistant.
By moving beyond simple data retrieval, the integration aims to provide enterprises with deeper insights and expedited operational issue resolutions through intelligent recommendations.
New Relic's CEO Ashan Willy commented on the collaboration, stating, "Enterprises are focused on unlocking the value of their data, leveraging the potential of AI, and driving business growth.
New Relic is built to support agentic AI systems. We are the only intelligent observability platform to enable AI agent to AI agent integrations, or agentic orchestration. This allows us to go beyond simply bringing your observability data into other AI applications—we unlock the full power of our AI-strengthened platform with intelligent recommendations so any user can automate observability workflows to drive faster operations."
The integration's centralised approach seeks to streamline workflows, eliminate team silos, and automate incident response, thus potentially reducing the operational costs associated with prolonged business interruptions during critical periods.
It aims to condense complex data into a unified interface, granting businesses the agility to detect and address service level agreement (SLA) deviations swiftly.
New Relic's Chief Product Officer Manav Khurana highlighted the issue of tool switching, noting, "Switching tools and context is one of the most painful problems enterprises face in modern incident response."
"Data and knowledge can end up in silos, making it hard to understand what your tools are telling you and when to escalate problems. Together, New Relic and AWS are helping enterprises improve their business workflows and outcomes with AI. Bringing observability directly into the business application workflow is a game changer for gaining fast insights and intelligent recommendations on complex data so you can troubleshoot in real-time."
The integration leverages natural language processing to facilitate interaction, enabling users regardless of their technical skills to ask questions and receive troubleshooting guidance.
By feeding real-time production data such as errors, performance traces, and vulnerabilities into the Amazon Q Business platform, the platform reduces the need for switching between multiple tools, enabling seamless workflow management.
Key elements of the integrated solution include natural language processing to simplify issue resolution, real-time service analysis for insight generation, alert intelligence reporting, and agentic orchestration that supports automated incident response and research tasks.
The integration builds on New Relic's ongoing relationship with AWS, adding to over 105 existing AWS integrations. This includes the integration of New Relic AI monitoring capabilities with Amazon Bedrock, aiming to enhance enterprise resource use and response efficiency.
