New Vivid Solutions GM eyes 'radical' growth
Vivid Solutions, New Zealand’s largest provider of video conferencing equipment and technology for the health industry, has appointed Stephan Coetzee as its new General Manager - Customer Development.
The Vivid Solutions Video Network currently links doctors and health professionals across almost every DHB in New Zealand, the tertiary health sector, non government organisations, public health organisations as well as Ministry of Health and various other health entities.
In his new role Coetzee is charged with overseeing a radical growth phase in the company, facilitating an expansion into the Pacific Islands and establishing further links within the wider health sector in New Zealand.
“To date we’ve only scratched the surface as there is the opportunity to bring on board a spectrum of additional health entities that are not currently using telehealth,” Coetzee says.
Coetzee will look to install Vivid’s ‘telehealth’ equipment in Samoa, Tonga and Niue, having recently completed a network in the Cook Islands to link facilities and health professionals with each other and with health professionals back in New Zealand.
Vivid Solutions CEO, Miles Smith, says “Stephan’s astute business acumen and knowledge in health and IT will enable him to excel in this key company role.”
Coetzee says he is excited to be part of such an agile, enthusiastic and dynamic team. “Being in a growth phase offers exciting opportunities and challenges for our company. The future of telehealth in New Zealand looks bright,” he says.
“The use of video conferencing as a day-to-day communication and collaboration tool is increasing exponentially across all sectors in healthcare," he adds.
"We are proud and fortunate to be in the centre of this exciting industry and ahead of the technology curve and our competition. Our motto is to do more, do it first and do it better than the rest.”
Most recently Coetzee was the national sales executive for Orion Health – New Zealand’s largest privately owned software exporter and a global leader in eHealth technology.
Coetzee has also held previous roles as sales executive for Unified Communications with Asnet Technologies, head of implementations at Intrahealth Systems, and worked with Medtech Global.
