FYI, this story is more than a year old

Data Center provider NextDC has appointed Symantec MD, Craig Scroggie, as a non-executive director.

Scroggie currently serves as VP and Managing Director for Symantec in the Pacific region. His appointment as a non-executive director of Data Center provider NextDC is effective from November 1st.

Roger Clarke, Chairman of NextDc, said, “The Board is delighted to welcome Craig as an independent director for NextDC. Craig is a strong leader with a great track record. He brings with him a wealth of experience, industry knowledge as well as extensive corporate governance experience that is critical to the success of NextDC. Attracting a high caliber director like Craig reinforces NextDC’s commitment to the Australian market as the business enters into a phase of growth and expansion of its data center portfolio.”

“With the rapid growth of information, the demand to deliver high-performing and energy efficient data center facilities in Australia and New Zealand is very strong," said Craig Scroggie. “NextDC’s mission to build an Australia-wide network of data centers that are both smart and green is extremely powerful and I look forward to making a significant contribution to the board of directors and the company’s overall success.”

Back in July NextDC acquired properties in Melbourne and Brisbane for data center development.
