Nintex launches low-code app tool for streamlined workflows
Nintex has introduced a new low-code application development tool, Nintex Apps, designed to help businesses streamline workflows and unify data while eliminating the need for multiple tools.
The launch of Nintex Apps aims to enable organisations to connect workflows and automate complex processes through applications that offer an intuitive experience for end users. The product integrates with Nintex's existing workflow and document automation solutions to facilitate the creation of purpose-built applications that can consolidate data from various systems.
Shaun Leisegang, General Manager for Automation, Data, and AI at Tecala, a technology services company, commented on the new product's impact: "What stands out about Nintex Apps is its remarkable ability to accelerate the development process. It enables us to deliver robust, scalable applications quickly and reliably, which is invaluable in today's fast-paced environment."
Nintex highlights the widespread challenge faced by mid-market businesses regarding technology sprawl. On average, companies use over 240 Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications, which can hinder productivity due to their fragmented nature. The Nintex Apps product seeks to address this issue by offering a unified data access and workflow management solution.
The tool is designed to enhance user engagement and accelerate business processes by combining intuitive application development with workflow automation. This combination allows businesses to automate and orchestrate complex operations via user-friendly applications tailored to end users, which can improve overall productivity.
Maureen Fleming, Program VP, Worldwide Intelligent Process Automation Market Research and Advisory Service at IDC, noted the potential benefits: "Businesses today are leveraging numerous software solutions to power processes across their organisations, which has resulted in sprawling technology stacks that stifle efficiency and productivity. By using an easy-to-use, low-code application development paired with optimised workflow data, mid-market businesses and departments within enterprise organisations can streamline their business processes and connect data sources, without adding additional software."
Lucia Venturi, Tech Lead at Sime Darby, emphasised the inclusion of workflow capabilities within Nintex Apps: "Unlike many products that promise ease-of-use, Nintex Apps is truly low-code and makes it easy to build custom applications. Because we're able to pull in workflow, we have the ability to build powerful applications that end users will be able to easily use."
Niranjan Vijayaragavan, Chief Product Officer at Nintex, elaborated on the company's strategic direction: "The launch of Nintex Apps is a meaningful step forward in our long-term vision of providing a single platform and integrated experience for end-to-end process automation powered by AI. Nintex customers and partners can now leverage the power of workflow automation and application development in a connected experience to build business-critical solutions. Existing customers with Nintex workflow automation can easily extend and access powerful application development capabilities to enhance business processes."
Nintex's acquisition of Skuid earlier this year has been integrated into the platform, contributing to the ability to create user-friendly applications that enhance business processes without incurring significant development costs.
