NTT DATA & Palo Alto Networks launch new MXDR service
NTT DATA and Palo Alto Networks have announced a new Managed Extended Detection & Response (MXDR) service aimed at enhancing enterprise cybersecurity resilience across cloud, edge, and on-premises environments.
The service provides continuous threat monitoring, AI-driven threat detection, and rapid response capabilities utilising Palo Alto Networks' Cortex XSIAM platform. This platform integrates AI and machine learning to offer full visibility across networks, aiming to tackle evolving cyber threats.
Leveraging the Cortex XSIAM platform, the MXDR service provides a unified approach to security operations. "By partnering with Palo Alto Networks, we're delivering a unified solution that strengthens cyber resilience, streamlines security operations, and improves overall agility," stated Sheetal Mehta, Global Head of Cybersecurity, NTT DATA. "Many organisations rely on fragmented security systems, making it harder to detect advanced threats, and react quickly," she added.
Kristy Friedrichs, Chief Partnerships Officer at Palo Alto Networks, emphasised the collaborative effort in addressing modern security challenges. "Organisations today are facing an unprecedented volume of sophisticated cyber threats, across their entire operations," she commented. "With NTT DATA, we are helping organisations transform their SOC through platformisation with XSIAM and expert services, delivering a unified solution that ensures customers can modernise and protect their operations with confidence."
The MXDR service offers 24x7 incident detection and response, backed by a global operations team and driven by AI-led threat intelligence orchestration. A diverse team of skilled professionals supports this service, including information security managers, threat hunters, and digital forensic experts, enhancing its capabilities.
Aimed at industries such as manufacturing, chemical, and pharmaceutical sectors, the service provides comprehensive Edge-to-Cloud security, AI-powered threat detection, and a reduced complexity approach, which shortens response times and reduces total cost of ownership.
The collaboration is intended to help enterprises manage cybersecurity threats more effectively, addressing the complexities of fragmented security systems and enhancing cyber resilience across sectors. The partnership supports industries heavily reliant on secure and connected environments by ensuring robust protection and business continuity.
According to Gartner, global end-user spending on cybersecurity is projected to exceed USD $212 billion by 2025, increasing by 15% from 2024. The need for comprehensive security solutions is driven by increasingly sophisticated cyber threats alongside a shortage of skilled security professionals. NTT DATA and Palo Alto Networks' strategic partnership aims to address these challenges through advanced AI-driven technology and extensive industry experience.
This initiative is part of a broader strategic alliance between the two companies aimed at reinforcing their position as key providers of global cybersecurity solutions. NTT DATA continues to leverage its global reach and expertise, backed by a significant network of over 7,500 cybersecurity professionals and extensive technical certifications.
