35 finalists have been announced for the awards that recognise excellence in the New Zealand hi-tech industry.
"The competition this year will be really exciting,” according to NZ Hi-Tech Trust Chair, Wayne Norrie, "with Compac Sorting Equipment, Datacom, BankLink and Orion Health going head-to-head for the title of PwC NZ Hi-Tech Company of the year. Two new categories, the International Business Wales Exporter of the Year and Recruit IT Employer of Choice have also attracted an outstanding line up of entrants.”
Norrie continued, "It is testimony to the strength of the New Zealand technology sector that for a second year we have been able to attract judges of this caliber. Despite the economic backdrop we also have an exceptional line up of sponsors and entries that cover the board spectrum of hi-tech companies from small to large, Government and multi- national. I am confident in saying New Zealand’s technology sector has never looked stronger.”
The list of finalists was announced last night at a simultaneous event held in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Winners will be announced at a black-tie dinner event due to be held at the Langham Hotel in Auckland on Friday, May 7th.
