FYI, this story is more than a year old

New Zealand-owned IT systems integrator Simpl has secured a five-year, multi-million-dollar contract to deliver and support a Single Community Care Record (SCCR) solution for Torbay Care Trust (TCT), a regional division of the UK's National Health Service (NHS).

The solution will provide TCT's 1300 staff with office and remote online access to secure records of patient and client care details, delivering efficiency benefits for all healthcare providers in the region, according to Mandy Seymour, chief operating officer for Torbay Care Trust.

"It has been clear to us for some time that we needed to employ more innovative and more integrated technology to support our frontline staff,” Seymour says, "and enable them to deliver the safest and most effective care to their clients and patients.

Simpl CEO Verdon Kelliher says the SCCR solution builds on years of healthcare-related R - D.

"Simpl has been seeding kiwi innovation into the global health market for several years now,” Kelliher says.

"We hope that this will bring us further opportunities to share valuable experience from the UK and elsewhere within the New Zealand environment.

The SCCR is built on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 platform. Go here for more on Simpl.
