FYI, this story is more than a year old

German software giant SAP has purchased 3D technology firm Right Hemisphere for an undisclosed sum.

Right hemisphere was founded in Auckland, and employs 45 staff at its R - D office here.  SAP's Hans Thalbauer says the company is committed to retaining that operation, and may even look to expand.

SAP purchased a stake in Right Hemisphere in 2007, and the companies already share numerous joint customers.

Michael Lynch, CEO of Right Hemisphere, says he is excited about the move.

"The combination of SAP's vast set of business information and Right Hemisphere's visualisation capabilities will change the way businesses of any size create, manage and deliver products and services across their enterprise and supply chain,” Lynch says.
