OneNet gets cloud security star
Wed, 11th Jul 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

New Zealand cloud computing pioneer, OneNet recently became the ninth cloud provider in the world - alongside Microsoft - to register their Cloud Security Alliance STAR security risk profile.

The Cloud Security Alliance is a member-driven organisation, chartered with promoting the use of best practices for providing security assurance within Cloud Computing. STAR is a free, publicly accessible registry that documents the security controls provided by various cloud computing offerings.

Registration of a cloud computing provider’s security risk profile is a prerequisite for compliance with The NZ Cloud Computing Code of Practice.

OneNet’s cloud services currently include hosted Microsoft server applications, desktop-as-a-service, storage-as-a-service, infrastructure-as-a-service and delivering applications for software-as-a-service partners.
