25 Nov 14

OpenText enterprise information management expert OpenText has today announced OpenText Business Center for SAP solutions at its 2014 Enterprise World conference.

OpenText Business Center for SAP solutions is designed to provide customers with a new platform for digitising the capture, approval and processing of documents in a workflow supported by SAP software.

OpenText will enable customers to accelerate and streamline processes, while reducing errors and providing a complete, real-time view of the end-to-end processes.

The company says as enterprises look to transform for the ‘digital-first world’, the handling of incoming documents and data streams and associated processes needs to match the fast-moving requirements of the business.

It is designed to extract data directly from incoming documents to populate, validate and browse many business objects in SAP software to help achieve a completely digital process.

OpenText Business Center for SAP solutions will enable customers to digitise incoming documents, such as paper, email, PDF or fax and simplify data entry, validation and processing.

Users will be able to browse many business objects in SAP software and get a holistic view and accelerate workflow implementation in SAP software, typically by a factor of 5-10.

The business centre will enable users to connect instantly with business partners via the flexible electronic input channel, and access and approve workflows on the go with an SAP mobile app.

“OpenText Business Center will be an integral part of the OpenText Suite for SAP solutions,” says Adam Howatson, chief marketing officer at OpenText.

“With OpenText Business Center for SAP solutions, our customers will be able to streamline operations to be more efficient in their day-to-day business, freeing up much-needed resources to focus on their core value propositions and moving towards creating a truly digital enterprise.”

The latest offering in the OpenText Suite for SAP solutions, the platform is designed to complement OpenText Vendor Invoice Management for SAP solutions and OpenText Extended ECM for SAP solutions.

The new solution is designed help organisations manage and process many types of incoming documents including sales orders and delivery notes, purchase requisitions and HR applications.

The company says the OpenText Suite is designed to enable end-to-end business value. The solutions plug into existing business architecture running SAP software, reflecting SAP’s innovation strategy for non-disruptive adoption.

OpenText Business Center for SAP solutions is scheduled to be available in March 2015.
